New Years Eve

Hope everyone has enjoyed thieir holidays, it always seems like such a rushed time of year. I thought that I would share a really good recipe for a dessert cheeseball that we had on Christmas eve in case you will be entertaining for new years or if you are looking for a fun idea for dessert. I will be making it again for the family new years eve get together.

Dessert Cheeseball
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese soft
4 tablespoons butter, soft
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 box of graham crakers

To make it lighter (less calories) use fat free cream cheese and low fat graham crakers

In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, butter and powered sugar; beat till smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Set mixture on wax paper and form into a ball, paat with nuts and turn till whole ball is covered. Chill for 1-2 hours. Serve with graham crakers.

If you are looking at it going ewe about the butter (because i did at first) you don't even notice it. It was very yummy and a must keep! Happy Cooking everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that a goal I have for the up and coming year is to start a food blog. I will put up a weekly menu and try to post picture with each thing. I hope that someone will follow me =) but if not I will have fun doing it anyway. I think it will be a great way to keep me modivated to keep cooking and to stop taking the easy way out with fast food. I will welcome any recipe suggestions and will try all suggestions and post what I think. I am excied to do this. I look forward to seeing what you guys think and to see what you have to share with me!
